Rhinoplasty by Nose Type

CASE 1

Low Nasal Bridge

When the nasal bridge between the eyes is low or the nose appears small overall, the face can lack definition and depth. In low bridge rhinoplasty, we enhance facial balance by augmenting the bridge with an implant or diced cartilage, and elevating the nasal tip using autologous cartilage — creating a naturally contoured and three-dimensional nose line.

CASE 2

Dorsal Hump (Hump Nose)

A dorsal hump is caused by excessive growth of the nasal bone and septal cartilage, making the upper part of the nasal bridge appear overly prominent. This can create the illusion of a low glabella and a drooping nasal tip. Depending on the individual's condition, we perform osteotomy to remove the protruding hump and refine the nasal tip for a smoother, more balanced profile.

CASE 3

Crooked Nose

A crooked nose occurs when the nasal bridge deviates to one side. In many cases, not only the external nasal bone but also the internal structures, such as the septum, are misaligned—often causing nasal congestion or even chronic rhinitis. Through 3D-CT imaging, we identify the exact cause of the deviation and create a surgical plan that restores both the external shape and internal function of the nose.

CASE 4

Bulbous Nose

A bulbous nose is characterized by a nasal tip that appears wide and rounded, often broader than the bridge, with enlarged nostrils.Since the bulbous appearance can result from various causes, we thoroughly analyze factors such as skin thickness, the shape and structure of the nasal tip, and the width of the nostrils.Based on this analysis, we design a nose line that complements the patient’s overall facial proportions.

Long Nose / Drooping Tip (Arrow Nose)

A long nose refers to a nasal tip that droops downward, making the nose appear elongated. When this becomes especially noticeable while smiling—creating an arrow-like appearance—it is often referred to as an “arrow nose.” Surgery focuses on lifting and refining the drooping tip to create a smoother, softer nasal line that harmonizes with the rest of the face.

Short Nose / Upturned Tip

A short nose, also known as an upturned nose, is characterized by excessive nostril exposure and a noticeably short nasal length when viewed from the front.To correct this, we gently extend the nasal tip by lengthening the skin and soft tissue within safe limits, allowing for a more balanced nasal length and a naturally lowered tip.
