What is a contracted nose?
A contracted nose is caused by the insertion of a prosthesis contaminated with bacteria.
A contaminated prosthesis causes sudden, severe inflammation or persistent, chronic inflammation, which causes excessive scar tissue to form around the prosthesis.
The excessive scar tissue hardens the skin and ligament tissue that should be soft, and also causes the surrounding tissue to contract and pull.
As a result, the tip of the nose becomes very hard, and the tip of the nose is pulled up and becomes short.
The most important thing in the treatment of a contracted nose is to carefully and sufficiently excise and remove the hard scar tissue that exists under the skin, between the cartilage and the ligament area.
This is a simple and time-consuming process, but it requires considerable know-how and technique.
